Midwest BSFA: How did you get into drawing?
Gidron: I got into art when I was younger and used to read comics, everything from X-Men to Avengers. I also got into art when I was younger as an escape on life and to help cope with things i didn’t understand and art got me through some tough times.

Midwest BSFA: What inspires you?
Gidron: I’m inspired by the creativity that goes into creating a hero and a story. something that draws one to it in such a way that invokes either words or art. But most of all i’m inspired by other artist and their techniques.

Midwest BSFA: How does “geek culture” help you do what you love?
Gidron: Geeks appreciate art more than those who just dabble in the comic book, manga and anime genres. They follow the stories, voice actors, storyboard writers and of course the illustrators and the animators. The geek culture are a culture that sees the art in the artistic world.

Midwest BSFA: Do you have any advice for your artists of color?
Gidron: My advice is Just to follow your dreams and keep improving in your style and techniques to become an truly amazing artist, Also always strive to be your best or favorite artist (not to sound cocky but if you love your art then you’ll start to see things are gonna get more amazing.)
